1770年代よりポムロル最高のワインの1つと名高いシャトー。エレガントなスタイルと複雑さを兼ね備えた、長期熟成向きの1本！ ポムロルで最も長い歴史を持つシャトーの1つ、シャトー・ヴュー・セルタン。その歴史は、ボルドーワインのネゴシアン・商人として当時名を知られていたジャン・ドメイ・ド・セルタン氏が土地を開墾し、シャトーを建設した1770年代へと遡ります。ワインは元々「セルタン」の名で売られており、シャトーは広大な土地を所有していましたが、フランス革命後幾度と分割され、現在の「セルタン・ド・メイ」やセルタンの名を冠するその他のシャトー、そして「ヴュー・シャトー・セルタン」が誕生しました。 「ヴュー・シャトー・セルタン」の畑はポムロルの中心である台地の頂上に位置しています。オーナーのアレクサンドル氏の従弟が所有するル・パンをはじめ、ペトリュスやラフルール、コンセイヤントといったポムロルのビッグネームがひしめく絶好のロケーションです。23もの区画に分けられる畑は、深い粘土質土壌、砂利と粘土が混じった土壌、砂利質土壌という3種類の土壌によって構成されており、それぞれの土壌に適したブドウが植えられています。 栽培においては農薬を使用しておらず、100%サステイナブルな農法技術を実践しています。収穫したブドウは品種、区画毎に、8桶の伝統的な温度管理のできるオークの大古樽と、13桶のステンレスタンクに分け、21日間かけて発酵。その後、メルロは小樽内でのマロラクティック発酵、カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン、カベルネ・フランは30℃で浸漬させた後タンク内でのマロラクティック発酵を経て、新樽比率50%のフレンチオークで約20ヵ月間熟成され瓶詰されます。 こうして造られるワインは、ポムロルの数あるシャトーと比べても、比較的カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン、カベルネ・フランを高い比率で使用していることが特徴。エレガントなスタイルと複雑さを兼ね備えた、長期熟成向きのワインです。 ■2020年ヴィンテージ情報■ 2020年は、雨の多い冬の後、乾燥した暑い夏が長く続くという強いコントラストが特徴です。5月中旬、均一で風通しの良い開花により、収量は少ないが早めの収穫となる。夏の干ばつで樹勢が弱まった古木は、驚くほど色鮮やかで、凝縮感があり、バランスの良いワインを生み出します。 メルローは強烈なアロマを放ち、濃厚でフルボディ、キビキビした味わいです。口当たりがよく、濃厚でフルボディ。このヴィンテージを代表するワインです。 カベルネ・フランは、小粒で凝縮した果実味を持ち、稀に見る複雑性を持つ滑らかなワインに仕上がっています。カベルネ・フランは、小粒で凝縮した果実味を持ち、稀に見る複雑性を持つ滑らかなワインを生み出しました。輝きを放つヴュー・ショートー・セルタン2020は、非常に深い紫色をしており、熟した果実のおいしいアロマがあります。フレッシュさと凝縮感の驚くべきバランスは、寝かせるための偉大なワインのすべての資質を明らかにしています。 VIEUX CHATEAU CERTAN ヴュー・シャトー・セルタン 生産地：フランス ボルドー ポムロル 原産地呼称：AOC. The nose is shut tight to begin, needing a lot of air to call forth beguiling scents of rose oil, sandalwood, star anise, and black truffles - to begin - giving way to a profound core of plum preserves, blueberry compote, boysenberries, and molten chocolate with a fleeting waft of vanilla pod and sassafras. The full-bodied palate is fantastically structured, with very firm yet very fine, smooth tannins and amazing tension supporting the dense, multilayered fruit, finishing with epic length and a whole firework display of mineral and floral notes. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's rich and layered, with a more broad, unctuous profile than the pure and refined 2019, concluding with a long, resonant finish.
